Cropper the fox................

I ran across this video on Wimp and present it to you here.  I am smitten with foxes, in addition to their physical beauty, their behavior patterns are fascinating in that in some ways they more closely resemble cats than dogs.

This video is apparently a couple of years old, I spent a little time searching and couldn't find any updates about Cropper or the fellow he lives with.   Our relationships with our fellow animals could be so very different with so little effort (on our part).

First of all, a big THANKS to Mike!!! :) And thanks for finding the video, Veganelder. ... There are a LOT of foxes in Berlin. And somehow they seem to fare OK (and yeah, "OK" means just ok). I know they have a hard (that's putting it mildly) existence, but I've never seen one abused (because no one can catch up to them - they aren't as trusting as pigeons who come up to 'people' sometimes). They really do look much more like cats than they do like dogs - at least the ones I've seen. The most important thing is, here is *yet one more example* of cross species friendship and love, help and trust and bonding. *We* are normally the ones missing in this equation. I'm glad that Cropper met Mike and not someone else. .. Thanks again for the video. :)

I think of these people as an oasis. The animals know where they are and often just show up on their porch. Christina told me about an incident like that just the other day. It's a cool story that you'll want to ask her about. You are absolutely right Veganelder, we can do so much to help the animals, with so little effort. It's criminal that we don't.

Thanks for commenting Krissa, I am glad for Cropper too, I hope the remainder of his life goes well for him (and for Mike).

Couldn't help noticing the antlers on the wall though, snort. Still, I'm glad they bonded.

I was googling about Cropper and came across your site. If you haven't seen this, you might be interested that Cropper is gone...but Trowler still has plenty of curious friends.
