You likely have seen the phenomenal reunion video of Christian the lion with his human friends. Maybe you have not seen the video of greeting and affection shown by a lion that was rescued from a circus where he was neglected and abused. His rescuer, a schoolteacher named Ana Julia Torres provides care and affection for over 800 animal people at her Villa Lorena shelter in Columbia.
You can see another video of this reunion here that includes an interview with Ms. Torres.
Humans are not the only animals that are bothered by conflict. The next video shows peacekeeping activities initiated by some feathered folks.
Veganism is a philosophy and way of living that respects and protects sentient beings, the environment and.....as a bonus....is likely better for your health......for certain it is better for the health of non-human animals and our planet.
My thanks to Ms. Torres and to the peacekeepers.

I love that photo of Ms. Torres with Jupiter. Her sanctuary reminds me of a 'big cat' sanctuary in Brazil, IN that I visited when I lived in Indy. That man also ran his entire place on donations and he had saved so many lions, tigers and panthers from horrific situations. God bless these folks for the work they do. And way to go Chicken Patrol! If only all humans could take the time to see just exactly how much we really are all alike.... Great post! *and I'm sure everyone reading this knows, but by "we" I mean all us creatures, great and small and in between.
Jupiter's show of affection for Ms Torres is so touching. His life before he arrived at her sanctuary must have been a living hell. I can't imagine living day after day in a circus - never able to just enjoy peace and quiet. That is a wonderful video!
The video of the peace maker hens was just too funny! That'last word' cluck from each of them made me laugh and laugh. Christina and I surely could have used their assistance many months ago. When the bunny fights broke out over territory we could have just threatened the perpetrators with "Don't make me call in the hens!"
Great, great videos!
Thanks for commenting Krissa, Brazil Indiana? Looks like there are those that do good things all over the planet.
Thanks for commenting Murph's Mom. The chicken peace makers were amazing, the united nations should take a clue from them.
Those chickens remind of some of my grade school teachers. I felt a bit like I had been told where to get off just watching this. "You rabbits stop that!" LOL I love it.
Thanks for commenting Christina, I couldn't help but think of the Marshall when watching the 2 peacekeeper chickens. They would have rocked his world.
Can hardly type for the tears after watching that lion show his affection! Very touching! And the chickens as referees - I love it! :)
