It is rare...

that we encounter reference points that are impossible to ignore. Those points can consist of different things......events, experiences, pictures, words....

Once Upon A Vegan wrote an entry for February 14th containing  words that are so true they should be repeated far and wide, often and strongly...again and again and again. She wrote:

"It doesn't matter if it's a horse's heart, a goat's heart, a dog's heart, a human's heart, a pig's heart or a cow's heart.   Each heart has a right to beat for it's own sake."

Occasionally imperfect beings can approach perfection...to me this quote does that.....combining eloquence and truth in a graceful and concise way....it blows me away.

Treat yourself to a well written and wonderful piece of writing, read the post....heed the message...and please do your part to help each heart to be able to beat for its own sake...live vegan.

What a wonderful blog! I will add you to my blog roll immediately and will answer the question you left on my blog as soon as possible.

My family and I have enjoyed watching the films you've included. Once our cats and terriers have passed away (not for a long time, I hope!) I plan on living with rescued house rabbits. And if we ever win the Lottery, we'll be adopting some rescue pigs ( a long-held ambition!) Seeing the film you included breaks my heart, when I think of how pigs are treated by humans.

Much appreciated VeganElder. I only say what I say because I know it to be true. And I've had some remarkable teachers along the way that have convinced me of such. Thank you for being one of the best among them. <3

Thank you Penny, for visiting and for commenting. I wish for long, happy and healthy lives for your companions. Good lottery, I know that would result in some happy pigs. They (pigs) are indeed horribly treated by us human animal...all that misery and suffering and death...just for a taste...
