I landed on this blog and the woman was praising her husband (and god) for "providing" a dead deer for for the family.

The photos still haunt me - Spaced in between shallow words of "gratitude", the lifeless animal was shown in the pickup truck. The final photo was of her young daughter stroking Bea Elliotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13981537551810309024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7688566476953748496.post-647626627397125172011-02-11T17:34:45.934-06:002011-02-11T17:34:45.934-06:00Did I ever tell you that in doing research for one...Did I ever tell you that in doing research for one of my posts I ran across a hunting site that I found particularly appalling? Appalling because at the bottom was a Biblical passage and then the author's note praising God for the resources created to be harvested. I emailed and it quickly devolved into a "it's not Christian to hunt" vs "it's not Christian to judge"So I'm Thinking Of Going Veganhttp://thinkoutsidethepiggybank.typepad.com/so_im_thinking_of_going_v/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7688566476953748496.post-67010347352136708942011-02-03T08:10:15.869-06:002011-02-03T08:10:15.869-06:00Thanks Bea for commenting. I wish him an easy recovery and a very, very long and free life!

As to hunters - I hear it all the time that they are doing their part for "ecology" and "conservation". I seriously doubt that a one of them wakes up, puts on their cammo gear, and loads their gun with that thought in mind. They are after the thrill of the kill. Well good for him that he or she got one shot in. It's not very nice to applaud that, but I don't care in this case. If only more of the hunted could pull this off, like this fox and "Mr. Deer" from the video on one of your previous posts.
